Learn to Love Local

Learn to Love Local is Coastal Foodshed’s cooking education program, built to help customers and participants make the most of what grows right here in the Southcoast. Through this program, we teach you how to eat more in line with the local seasons while also teaching you how to preserve fresh local foods so you can also enjoy them during our long New England winters, extending their seasons.

Focusing on simple and affordable recipes. Whether the produce is unfamiliar, or an old favorite you want to use in a new way, there is something here for everyone.  We focus on creating simple and affordable recipes that feature fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables.

We primarily host cooking demonstrations at the New Bedford Farmers Markets and host them at partnering sites when funding allows.
