Food Hub Market
Our retail shop is located inside our food hub where you can shop in person for local food: fruits, vegetables, dairy, meat, eggs, honey, maple syrup, and more!
New Bedford Farmers Market
Our indoor and outdoor farmers markets bring farm-fresh products and perishables to New Bedford while providing the distribution and marketing support needed to help boost local producers. Three outdoor locations open from June to October and one indoor location running from November to May are open weekly with always-in-season products and produce.
Coastal Foodshed Virtual Market
Order online for your pick of the freshest, seasonal food of the Southcoast. Customers can pick up at one of our convenient locations or have it delivered to their door. This online farmers market expands access to farm-fresh food, helping farmers, producers and shoppers alike.
Farm to School
Coastal Foodshed is bringing fresh, local food into schools across the Southcoast by partnering with area farmers to supply fruits, vegetables, dairy, and more. Through this program, we connect school districts with locally grown ingredients that nourish students and support our regional food system.
Farm to Food Relief
Coastal Foodshed’s Farm to Food Relief program connects local farmers with hunger relief organizations to ensure fresh, locally grown food reaches those in need. By purchasing surplus and in-season produce directly from farms, we support the local food economy while increasing access to nutritious food for food-insecure communities. This program strengthens both our regional food system and community well-being.
HIP Delivery
Our HIP Delivery program makes it easier for SNAP customers to access fresh, local produce by bringing it straight to their doorstep. We work with over 30 partners- Housing Authorities, Social Service Agencies, Food Pantries and more- to connect with SNAP recipients. Through the Healthy Incentives Program (HIP), customers receive free fruits and vegetables from local farms, supporting both their health and the local agricultural economy. This program removes transportation barriers and ensures equitable access to nutritious food.
Learn to Love Local
Promoting the Southcoast’s food economy while helping our neighbors eat healthier, our culinary education program offers recipes and tips for using unfamiliar food, or old favorites in a new way. Through live demonstrations and online tools, we bring in neighborhood community chefs to share their favorite cultural dishes using seasonally sourced ingredients you can purchase at our markets.
