Virtual New Bedford Farmers’ Market FAQs

How do I buy from the Virutal New Bedford Farmers Market on WhatsGood? 

There are four easy steps: 

  1. Download the WhatsGood App or visit www.sourcewhatsgood.com to shop through a browser. 
  2. Create a FREE shopper account  
  3. Choose the New Bedford Farmers Market either a delivery or pick-up option 
  4. Shop our great selection of produce, meat, eggs, bread, pastries, jams and so much more. 
I see 2 different New Bedford Farmers Markets on WhatsGood. What is the difference?

We offer two different options to receive your purchases: Home delivery OR pick-up at our office (466 Brock Ave., New Bedford), both on Wednesdays. These are the same markets with the same vendors. Click either the delivery or pick-up market to choose your preferred method.

What time does the market open?

Shopping for both options is open Saturday 8am until we sell out of both delivery and pick-up spots

Where do you deliver?

We deliver to Dartmouth, New Bedford, Fairhaven and Acushnet.   

What is the delivery and pick-up fees?

The delivery fee is $5.99 and the pick-up fee is $2.99.

What day and time do you deliver?

Delivery is Wednesday from 12-6pm. You will receive a notification from your driver when they are on their way.

Do I need to be home for the delivery?

No one needs to be home at the time of delivery. If you’d like us to leave it in a particular location, please specify in the “chat option” on WhatsGood to CFS’s Mobile Farm Stand. 

What time/day is pick-up?

Pick-up is at Coastal Foodshed’s office: 466 Brock Ave, New Bedford from 2-5pm

Why isn't the New Bedford Farmers Market showing up on my app or website?

The delivery option will only be visible to you if your zip code is in our delivery area: Dartmouth, New Bedford, Fairhaven and Acushnet.   Everyone should be able to see the NB Farmers Market with the option to pick-up at our office on Wednesdays.  

I can see the market, but is says FULL or CLOSED.

We have a set number of delivery slots that we can fulfill. Once we sell out of spots, the market is closed for deliveries. If the delivery slots are full, consider shopping at our online market and choosing the pick-up option at our office (466 Brock Ave., New Bedford) on Wednesdays from 2-5pm.   Coastal Foodshed also operates a Mobile Farm Stand at their offices on Thursdays 12-5pm for a “walk-in drive thru.” No pre-orders. All orders are placed and paid for on-site. All payments are accepted here: credit/debit, cash/check, SNAP/HIP  

Can you purchase using SNAP/HIP benefits?

SNAP/HIP is not accepted at our online New Bedford Farmers Market. Currently, we are only able to accept credit/debit cards through WhatsGood. In Massachusetts, it is not legal for SNAP customers to make online purchases (we will continue to advocate for this service).   Coastal Foodshed’s Mobile Farm Stand does accept all forms of payment including SNAP/HIP on Thursdays from 12-5pm at 466 Brock Ave. in New Bedford. The Farm stand has a “walk-in drive thru.” The Mobile Farm Stand offers a great selection of produce, meat, eggs, bread, pastries, kombucha, jams, salsa and more. 

Is there a minimum purchase required?

While there is no minimum purchase required, we do kindly suggest orders be at least $25 as both delivery and pickup slots are limited.
